Overview:

SuccessBaseMass is partnering with Opportuniteens in hosting a 2-day resume building workshop for high school students. On the first day, students will learn the basics of writing a resume, and will be assisted in creating or editing their own resumes in real time. On the second day, students will be walked through the basics of LinkedIn, and will be assisted in creating or editing their own LinkedIn accounts.

About the Speakers

Resume Speaker: Izabella Zamora

Izabella is a student at MIT studying Biology and EECS (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science). She is an Undergrad Researcher at the Koch Institute of Integrative Cancer Research focused on solid tumor immunology and targeted immunotherapies. Previously she has interned at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, researching highly heat resistant bacteria and ways to reduce space equipment contamination. Among other things, she is involved in MIT Sandbox, Office of Engineering Outreach Programs, Code for Good, and Sigma Kappa Sorority. Hobbies include Monopoly, baking, and ice skating.

LinkedIn Speaker: Jennifer MacNeil

Jennifer also owns Jennifer MacNeil Photography, a portrait and event photography company that she started in January 2009. Her photography skills bring added benefit to her marketing clients’ visual library for their digital campaigns.

Prior to 2009, she worked in marketing roles in television, publishing, architecture & engineering, and speech & occupational therapy.

Jennifer supports her local community’s back pack drives (which provide all students the needed school supplies) and food pantry. Globally, she supports www.charitywater.org and the universal need for everyone to have clean water to drink.

Jennifer MacNeil started MacNeil Marketing Solutions in January 2015 with the mission of working with fast growing organizations focused on spreading positive impact to their communities who are seeking to outsource and advance their marketing efforts. Acting as Marketing Director for all clients, she keeps budgets efficient and resources robust by pulling in her vetted network of specialists as needed. Her clients are predominantly in the energy industry.

About OpportuniTeens

OpportuniTeens aims to provide teens with information regarding internships, college readiness programs, and other opportunities. These various opportunities are researched and compiled by us in hopes of helping all students to find jobs where they can develop relevant skills in their future college majors/jobs.
