City Spotlights Summer Leadership Employment Program
Paid leadership training program where teens learn job readiness and community advocacy through the arts. Youth are empowered to advocate at the Massachusetts State House and perform about political justice with the help of local artists as teachers.

MPFI Summer Research Internship
Offers rising high school juniors and seniors a paid immersive research experience in brain structure, function and development. Students will be able to perform research projects alongside MPFI researchers, while usi advanced imaging techniques ad technologies. Students will deliver a short research presentation on their work at the end of the summer.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US and entering their juniors or senior years in a Palm Beach County high school in the fall. Residents of other counties are not eligible. In addition, students must be 16 years old or older by the start of the internship.

Florida State University: Young Scholars Program
The Young Scholars Program (YSP) is a six-week residential science and mathematics summer program for Florida high school students with significant potential for careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students perform STEM coursework, and complete an independent research project.
Eligibility:
Applicants must maintain a permanent residence in Florida. Students must also have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher and have received a score in the 90th percentile or better in math on a nationally standardized exam. Must also be enrolled in or have completed pre-calculus. The program is designed to target high school juniors but there has been cases of which sophomores were also accepted.

GALS North Carolina
GALS is a free summer science program for high school students to engage with science while backpacking through the wilderness.
Eligibility:
GALS will consider your application if you identify as female or are gender nonconforming. We especially encourage you to apply if you are a student of color, if you are from a low socioeconomic background, or if you identify with other groups underrepresented in fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Anyone in 9th-12th grade who is able to hike while carrying a heavy (30 lb) backpack is encouraged to apply.

Applied Research Innovations in Science and Engineering (ARISE)
Residential program at NYU allowing high school students to perform STEM research in various disciplines with the mentorship of graduate students. Participants are also exposed to college prep and public speaking workshops, along with networking opportunities. Students also earn a stipend upon completion.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be completing 10th or 11th grade in June and are New York City residents. Will not accept applications from students who reside outside of the five NYC boroughs. Students who will be living in NYC for the summer only or attend school in NYC but lives outside of NYC are not eligible.

SCaN Internship Project (SIP)
The SCaN Internship Project (SIP) is a paid internship hosted by NASA’s Headquarters in Washington, DC; NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OH; NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD; NASA’s White Sands Complex in White Sands, NM; and the Alaska Satellite Facility in Fairbanks, AK. SIP is open to students 16 or older who are pursuing a career in space communications and navigation, or have an interest in these areas.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be a US citizen and at least 16 years old at the time of application. Student must have at least aa 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. If a high school student, must have completed at least their freshman year. If a undergraduate or graduate student, must be enrolled full-time in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university. Educators are also encouraged to apply.

Biobuilder High School Apprenticeship Challenge
Selected high school students from metro-Boston build technical knowledge, lab techniques, research-based thinking and professional skills over eight weeks to prepare them for paid summer internships in academic labs and life science companies
Eligibility:
Applicants should be attending an under-resourced high school in the metro Boston area or identify as economically disadvantaged. Can be nominated by a teacher or an academic adviser. Student must be 18 years old as of June 1st if they want to work in a biotech company during the summer. Must be at least 16 years old by June 1st if they want to work in an academic lab setting or a non-lab setting in a biotech lab. Applicants should be committed to pursuing a summer internship in the life sciences. Students who will be extensively engaged in other summer opportunities (travel, volunteering etc) should not apply.

Applications open January 1 and are reviewed on a rolling basis until March 5
Caminos Al Futuro
A pre-college summer program for rising high school seniors who have demonstrated leadership in the Hispanic/Latino community. Caminos Scholars explore economic and political challenges facing the Hispanic community with the help of professors and experts and create their own projects to positively impact their communities.

Draper Apollo High School Summer Internship
A highly selective paid internship where high school students are able to get hands on experience in various STEM fields through mentorship from real scientists to create and finalize a research project by the end of the summer. Teams work in groups of 3-4 to collaborate on a project with real world applications.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be an US citizen or have a green card and be at least 16 years old at the start of the internship. Student must be entering junior or senior year of high school following the internship.
