Yale Young Global Scholars

The Cooper Union Saturday Program
A free program of studio courses, creative writing and art issues seminars hosted by the Cooper Union for New York City–area high school students interested in preparing a portfolio for college. The program is held on Saturdays throughout the school-year.

Air Force Research Laboratory Scholars Program
A highly immersive STEM internship for upper high school students, undergraduates, and grad students. Interns are able to gain hands on experience with advanced lab equipment alongside AFRL scientists and engineers, and are able to collaborate on research projects.

South Carolina Aquarium Internship
The South Carolina Aquarium High School Intern Program is an opportunity to become a paid intern for 11th grade students in the Charleston. Each spring, students attend training classes to learn about animals, ocean science, career development and team-building skills. Ten students are then chosen to continue on as paid summer interns, working with marine educators and biologists throughout the summer. Students may participate in the High School Intern program only once.

USC Bovard Scholars
Intensive three week residential program which helps students gain admission to top colleges through admissions workshops, essay classes, and test preparation. Students are able to explore potential careers and universities while forming lifelong friendships.
Eligibility:
Must be high school junior at the time of application, holding a 4.0 weighted GPA or above, and enrolled in Algebra II, Trigonometry or above. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, have taken AP/IB courses if offered and are actively enrolled in a US high school (mainland or territories).

NCSSM Summer Ventures
Residential STEM program allowing high school students to conduct research on one of several college campuses. At the end of the summer session, students wil also be exposed to online research prep coursework.

Rising North Carolina juniors and seniors who have not participated in the Summer Ventures programs.

Massachusetts Peace Action Internship
Mass Peace Action is a statewide organization which gathers political power to fight for a just foreign policy. Interns support this mission by organizing clubs or forming relationships with other activists; writing articles about projects, contacting media outlets, or creating campaign videos; contacting legislator and analyzing political change; organizing fundraising events; or organizing events or writing articles for specific campaigns.

Broad Summer Scholars Program
This is a program that invites highly motivated high school students with a strong interest in science to spend six weeks at the Broad Institute. Students are matched with Broad scientists to execute original research in areas such as cancer biology, psychiatric disease, chemical biology, and computational biology. At the end of the program, students present their
work in a scientific poster fair.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be a rising senior in high school, attend high school in the greater Boston area, have earned a B or better in science and math classes, and demonstrate excitement for science.

Stanford STARS Internship Program
A summer research program which encourages high school and undergraduate students to pursue a career in medicine or biomedical research. During the progrem, students are broken into smal teams headed by top scientists, and recieve laboratory training, ending the summer with a research project demonstrating their progress.

Simons Summer Research Program
The Simons Summer Research Program at Stony Brook University gives academically talented, motivated high school students the opportunity to engage in hands-on research in science, math, or engineering at Stony Brook University. Simons Fellows work with distinguished faculty mentors, learn laboratory techniques and tools, become part of active research teams, and experience life at a research university. At the closing poster symposium, students are presented with a $1,000 stipend award.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be high school juniors at the time of application, and at least 16 years of age by the start of the program. Applicants must be US citizens and permanent residents.
