High School Apprenticeship Challenge
A summer program where high school students receive laboratory training in the spring, and are selected as paid lab interns in the summer. During the summer lab internship, students work in life science firms around Boston, gaining hands on training and experience in a laboratory setting.

Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program
Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program teaches girls and nonbinary students computer science skills necessary to prepare for a career in tech. Participants will also learn about tech jobs and meet professionals in the field.
Students will work on two projects in the first week: (1) a personal portfolio website and, (2) a BuzzFeed-style personality quiz using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. In the second week, students work on a final personal project focused on activism and web design."

Zoo New England Volunteer
Franklin Park Zoo and Stone Zoo offer several year-round volunteering opportunities for teens. These opportunities include assisting with special zoo events, interacting with guests, and caring for petting zoo animals. Volunteering periods come in a winter session (September-February) and Summer session (April-September).

The Junior Academy
A fantastic opportunity where The New York Academy of Scientists chooses 1000 of the world’s brightest teenagers to design innovative solutions dedicated to society’s greatest problems. Students work with a mentor in an international group of 6 throughout 10-week challenge periods.

Aeronautical Science Pathway
The Aeronautical Science Pathway (ASP) program is designed for high school juniors and seniors who want to become Professional Pilots or work in one of many Aviation Operations Management fields, such as Unmanned Aerial Systems, Air Traffic Control, Airport Management, or Airline Dispatch. Six college level courses will be embedded within each yearlong course, all which are core to earning an Associate and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Aeronautical Science at Green River College. In addition to academic/technical content, this course includes a strong leadership component. Students will learn how to best prepare for job interviews, how to work most effectively in teams and assume key leadership roles, and how to successfully participate in competitive events.

NYU Future Filmakers Workshop
The Future Filmmakers Workshop is an intensive 14 week high school program where all aspects of filmmaking are taught to develop a student's personal vision and voice to those that feel underrepresented in the film industry. An emphasis is placed on personal storytelling and learning how to articulate oneself creatively through an understanding of the technical elements of making a movie.
Eligibility:
High school students in grades 9-11. The programs are open to high school students based in the U.S. with priority given to students in the New York Tri-State area, including one of the five boroughs of New York City, Westchester County, Long Island, New Jersey, parts of Philadelphia, and Connecticut.

Science Museum Oklahoma Teen Apprenticeship Program
Apprentices gain experience in museum operation by supporting the function of museum exhibits, camp activities, stage performances, and educational programming. Students will be able to develop their science literacy, confidence, and leadership skills. Though the apprenticeship is meant for the summer, students can choose to continue it into the school year.
