Girls LEAP Teen Mentor
Paid leadership program where young women are able to mentor and teach other girls in LEAP programs. LEAP mentors must engage in social justice discussions with other young women, teach other girls self-defense, create social media content for the Girls LEAP program, and raise awareness on violence that girls face in society.

High Five Media Internship
Interns work in a fast-paced environment, in which they are valued members of their team. Interns are hired in web design or classic design, and internships are unpaid.

The Carbon Newsprint is here to help you make that impact. We support other growing student organizations, have local cleanup efforts and petitions, and raise awareness through our blog.

Young Women's Institute
A four-day residential program for female rising juniors in high school. Participants participate in business workshops at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and are able to network with women in the corporate world. Students also build leadership and presentation skills by preparing and presenting a case project. Program is completely free; students must only pay for transportation.

Youth Science Connection
A virtual program allowing high school students to perform research projects at home with the guidance of a mentor. Students are able to go through their research project at their own pace, then present their findings. (College students as mentors are also able to apply!)

Summer Media Intensive
An interactive, hands-on learning experience in filmmaking. Pre-production to post-production, students build skills in pitching, camera operation, interviewing, editing, and media literacy.

Applicants must be NYC students who are aged 14-21 years old.

Governor's STEM Scholars
The Governor’s STEM Scholars Program is a free, statewide STEM education initiative for New Jersey students in grades 10 through the PhD level. Through a series of four conferences during the school year, as well as trips to STEM organizations across the state, the Governor’s STEM Scholars provides students with opportunities to closely interact with New Jersey STEM professionals, research organizations, and state policymakers to educate themselves about and experience the state’s STEM economy.
Eligibility:
Must be a 10th through doctoral level student enrolled in school in NJ. Applicants must be enrolled in a program in the fields of STEM or show a demonstrated interest in STEM. Applicants must have a 3.5 G.P.A. or higher. Applicants must demonstrate leadership qualities either through participation in school programs or community activities (Leadership does not have to pertain to STEM, although this type of leadership would be helpful to a candidate).

BioPower, an organization designed to promote interests in biology-related careers through events, guest speakers, and workshops, is looking for a team of dedicated volunteers to help this organization succeed! Volunteer hours and leadership positions will be offered!

Pitchteen 2.0
Pitchteen started as a tech startup competition that aims to give high schoolers and college undergraduate students the exposure they don't often get in business. Keeping that in mind that women don't often get a lot of exposure in tech/business, we launched PitchTeen 2.0. This is mentorship program is our next step in helping to bridge the gender gap.
