CAIR-OK offers internships in government affairs, event planning, and communications and development. Yellowstone Writing Project's Rural Journalism Camp

This week-long, residential experience immerses rural high school students in the theory and practice of daily journalism. Students will explore relevant issues facing American journalists today and also develop skills of the craft by covering a variety of actual news events throughout the Bozeman area. Upon leaving camp, students will return to their home communities and develop a journalistic piece that sheds light on a significant aspect of life within their communities.

DOROT Summer Teen Internship Program

This is an internship for NY residents who seek to develop their leadership skills while giving back to the community. Here, students will volunteer with a diverse group of socially conscious teens to help senior citizens occupy time during the summer months.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors in high school. Applicants must be NY residents. Applicants must fill out an online application and commit to the entire length of the program.

The school of the New York Times Summer Program

Educational programs that explore important issues in media, business, politics, arts, culture, technology and other real-world subject matter. All of our courses are designed to help students develop the skills, values and competencies that will broaden their horizons and guide their educational and professional paths.

Square Tech's Summer Teen Program

A paid internship program where students aged 14-19 are able to learn about computer science. Throughout the internship’s 7 weeks, participants focus on game design, Makey Makey software, PC hardware, and customer service training.

Free year-round program offering SAT prep and college admissions counseling for underrepresented high school students, and taught by college students from the surrounding community. 9-week prep sessions offered for every season.

Strengthening Educational Access with Dartmouth (SEAD)

A 4 year program for 1st generation or low income students encouraging academic preparedness and personal growth. Students spend a week on Dartmouth's campus in the summer and are exposed to courses, one-on-one mentoring, and team building exercises. Students consider with their mentorship during the school-year, along with college visits and academic enrichment opportunities.

Eligibility:

Must be current high school sophomore attending one of the program's partner schools

Apollo Theater Academy Summer Internship Program

Allows high school students to explore careers in technical theater and virtual performance production, which helps spur their professional and personal development. Students learn about the impact of digital media in lie and recorded productions, as well as what goes into creating virtual events at the Apollo theater. Interns collaborate with Apollo's crew members to use ligting design, videography, and audio engineering to create virtual productions.

Must be rising high school senior and resident of New York City
