Penn Summer Prep Program
Get ready for college—and beyond—in this paid professional development program for high school juniors. Successfully complete your college applications, visit college campuses, and build your resume as part of a world-class arts institution. Over the course of a year-and-a-half, this exciting program provides professional development that culminates with on-the-job arts administration training. Students will also have access to one-on-one mentorship, and be able to practice their communication skills.

The Newton Community Farm offers two unpaid summer internships for high school students. In its education internship, interns educate students aged 3-13 on the natural world. Interns don’t have to have any prior experience and must assist children in gardening, crafts, or games. In the farm’s Field Crew internship, interns gain experience on the Newton farm by growing and cultivating produce. This internship is physically demanding, and interns experience growth in their leadership and responsibility skills.

Museum of Fine Arts Boston - Teen Arts Council
Reinvent-a-thon is a month-long event set to take place in May and June to celebrate Reinvented’s 2nd birthday. The celebration consists of a competition, STEM enrichment activities, and a mentorship program. Academy of Art University Pre-college program for High Schoolers
A scientific research internship where teens are able to perform research using digital technology at the Field museum. Teens examine the museums plant and fossilized plant collections, using their knowledge of digital technology to perform projects for public use. Interns gain experience in museum operations and the STEM fields.

The Met Summer High School Internship
A virtual program hosted by Colorado State allowing high school seniors to discuss issues facing African American community. Students also earn college credits, gain experience in university laboratories, and gain more insight on student life.

The Young Leaders Summit
The Young Leaders Summit (YLS), presented by the Youth Leadership Consortium (YLC), is a free, five-day, college empowerment conference for a diverse cohort of 200 low-income high school juniors, selected through a competitive application process. It is designed to give these young leaders the practical tools they need to successfully apply to top universities, have full access to scholarship and financial aid opportunities, and set a course for academic and career success.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be a current high school junior who has an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0+ on a 4.0 scale or an 80+ on a 100 point scale. Student should also be defined as low income by Pell eligibility and currently attend a high school in the US or a US territory. In addition, they must also be a US Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident, DACA or Eligible Non-Citizen (as defined by FAFSA). Lastly, the applicant must plan to enroll full-time, in a four-year degree program, at a US accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university after high school graduation.

Artward Bound
A year-round four year college access program which prepares high school students artistically and academically for college and beyond. Students are able to create their portfolios throughout the school year, with each year of high school teaching them a new discipline. For 6 weeks in the summer, participants are able to take math, English, and art courses.
Eligibility:
Must currently be a Boston resident in 8th, 9th, or 10th grade who meets income requirements. You can not go to Boston Arts Academy or a private school.
