ACS Project SEED

A paid summer internship were high school students are able to work in one of several participating laboratories, with experienced scientists as their mentors. Participants are able to learn about careers in chemistry, and receive assistance with college preparation and career development.

New York University Urban Journalism Workshop

The Urban Journalism Workshop at New York University is made to develop the next generation of journalists. Students from the Tri-State area are selected to attend a 10-day intensive journalism “boot-camp” held at Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at NYU.

Eligibility:

Junior and Senior in High School from the NY, NJ, and CT Tri-State Area

GEAR UP

GEAR UP is a seven-year federal grant program that provides services and assistance for qualifying students in order to help them successfully graduate from high school and prepare for college.

Eligibility:

Grades 7-12 and college freshmen

GenCyber Student Camp

The GenCyber camp and professional development rotates throughout the state of Wyoming. Only open to students during odd years (2021, 2023...)

Student Conservation Association Youth Programs

The SCA encourages youth to play a more active role in the preservation of the environment. Several programs are offered for youth, all of which bring youth together for environmental restoration efforts.

Secret Service Student Volunteer Program

A year-round program which allows students to see the inner workings of the Secret Service. Students are able to explore careers while gaining valuable work experience. Students are unpaid but are able to receive academic credit.

Eligibility:

Must be a U.S citizen, at least 16 years old, enrolled in school, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and not have a parent who is part of the Secret Service

University of Delware: Health Sciences Camp

It’s not just aspiring artists who can take advantage of precollege programs. Offered by the University of Delaware, the UD Health Sciences Summer Camp supports students with an interest in health science careers. During this six-day immersion program, participants will gain a deeper understanding of a wide range of topics, including premedical studies, nutrition, nursing, global health, and biotechnology.

NIHF STEM Internship

Designed exclusively for high school and college students, our Leadership Intern program reinvents summer volunteer programs. Leadership Interns work closely with Camp Invention® and Invention Project® participants to help them explore STEM concepts and become creative thinkers who can invent a better tomorrow.

Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory High School Internship

Princeton's Plasma Physics Laboratory offers motivated high school seniors school year internships and summer research internships. Students are able to be the lab assistant of a staff member currently working on a research project.

Eligibility:

Must be 16+ and holds the status as a graduating high school senior. Applicant must also be US citizen or permanent resident alien at the time of applying.
