Virginia Institute of Marine Science Governor's School
The Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) Governor's School is a 4-week summer residential school provided in cooperation with The Center for Gifted Education at William & Mary, and the students are housed at Christopher Newport University. Since 1993, this program has been serving high-achieving high school students throughout Virginia and providing participants with authentic experiences in marine research.

GROW Summer Research Internship at Boston University
GROW offers rising high school seniors the opportunity to perform research in a lab at BU for six weeks.
Upon completion of all program requirements, students will receive a stipend of up to $1500. Participants work in their labs June 28-August 9th M-F from 9:30-4:30.
Eligibility:
Applicants must currently be a junior enrolled in a school in Massachusetts and live within a 30-mile radius of Boston. Applicants must be at least sixteen years old by July 1, 2019. Applicants must have a demonstrated record of achievement in science.

Girlz Radio
A year-round job where girls are able to discuss societal issues on live radio, create blog posts or short stories about their passions, make and edit videos, or run social media for Girlz Radio. Employees are expressed to a comfortable environment, where they can express themselves and their thoughts on society in several ways. Students are expected to work 9 hours per week during the school year.

Vermont Youth Conservation Corps
Paid environmental internships allowing Vermont youth to gain hands-on experience with their natural environment. Youth build trails in Vermont greenlands, grow and harvest crops, and build structures. Youth also have access to several development workshops, networking opportunities, and lifetime friendships.

Upward Bound
Upward Bound is a federally-funded TRIO program that provides academic support to low-income and/or first-generation college bound students.
Eligibility:
Must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or refugee in the process of applying for permanent residency that is currently attending Farmington, Manchester (Central, Memorial, West, or MST), Spaulding, or Somersworth high school. In addition, your family income should fall within the limits listed in the application OR be a first gen student. Should also demonstrate academic promise and have college aspirations.

After school and summer paid internship where students living in the Greater Boston area are able to work on creative, innovative projects for nonprofits and corporations throughout the City of Boston. Students also have access to tutoring and college readiness counseling.

Met High School Internship Program
The Met High School Internship Program offers paid opportunities for students who either reside in or attend a high school or home school in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut. Applicants for the summer internship program must be rising juniors or rising seniors on the application deadline date. The program allows students to connect with arts, museum, and creative professionals as they develop professional skills, network, and gain work experience.

My Introduction to Engineering (MITE)
MITE is a five-day camp for current high school juniors to discover engineering through participation in an engineering team project, hands-on activities and interactions with engineering students, faculty, staff and alumni.
