Stillwater Medical Foundation High School Fellowship
As a Stillwater fellow, students are able to observe surgeries, the birth of babies, physical therapy, and emergency treatment as well as shadow physicians in the hospital and area clinic settings. The program includes field trips to both of Oklahoma’s medical schools, Dean McGee Eye Institute, the Oklahoma Blood Institute, Integris’ Paul Silverstein Burn & Wound Care Unit in Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute in Tulsa. Students also visit Behavioral Sciences at OUHSC and the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. Upon program completion, students will earn $1,750.

Brookhaven National Laboratory High School Research Program
HSRP gives students an immersive, hands-on research experience where they are able to collaborate with Brookhaven lab faculty on projects that are geared toward energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. Students share what they have learned through an oral presentation/poster session at the end of the program.

Must be at least 15 years old with U.S. citizenship or green card

Summer at ASMSA
Students can explore oil painting, observational drawing, collage, abstract design, art criticism, and more during this program at the Arkansas School for Math, Science, and the Arts! Essentially, students will gain a comprehensive overview of art mediums and style—making them more informed and thoughtful artists.

Youth Forest Monitoring Program
YFMP is a 7-week summer internship for high school students. Participants explore hands-on forest ecology, supplement forest health analysis, engage in stewardship projects, and discover a variety of natural resource careers. The framework includes 1 week of training by forest scientists, 5 weeks of field monitoring and stewardship projects, and 1 week of final research with a written report and oral presentation as a final product.
Eligibility:
Open to students entering grades 9-12 who are in good academic standing and/or have shown ability and interest in the natural sciences

Sadie Nash Summer Institute
A leadership institute for self-identified young women who are given the opportunity to build a strong community with other participants. Nashers are exposed to social justice workshops, attend field trips, and meet prominent women leaders in various fields.

Carleton Liberal Arts Experience (CLAE)
A free week long residential college prep program for rising juniors hosted by Carleton college. Participants are able to experience a liberal arts education by engaging in several unique compelling courses. Students are also able to take several college prep workshops led by Carleton faculty.

Minds Matter
An intensive college preparatory program offering students weekly ACT, writing, and comprehensive thinking courses throughout the school year, as well as paid tuition to college summer programs hosted at top universities. Minds Matter accepts students in their sophomore year (meaning students must apply as freshman) and support them with the college process throughout the rest of high school.

Computer Science for Cyber Security (CS4CS)
Exposes high school students to the fundamentals of cybersecurity and computer science at NYU's Tandon school of engineering. Participants will be able to review digital forensics, steganography, and cryptography.

Los Alamos National Laboratory High School Internship Program
Gives qualified Northern New Mexico students the opportunity to develop their career experience by offering them a hands on opportunity in a state-of-the-art laboratory.
Eligibility:
Must be current high school senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA and attend a high school in Northern New Mexico. Must also pass a drug test.

Memorial Hermann Teen Volunteer (TMC Houston)
Summer Teen’s commitment is to volunteer for at
least two-four hour shifts on a weekly basis for 8
of the 9 week program available in the summer.
Volunteer shifts will be scheduled consistently on
the same day and time each week. Volunteer will
have the opportunity to register for a schedule
based on their availability during the mandatory
Orientation session. Shifts will be available
Monday – Friday from 8AM to 5PM. College
recommendation letters will be provided upon
request with completion of a minimum of 64 hours
by the end of the volunteer program. Completing
at least 72 hours will grant volunteer opportunity
to join our Year Round Teen Program. Limited Year
Round Teen opportunities are by invitation only and
will be filled on a first come first served basis.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be 15 years of age or older by June 1, and able to provide verification of a negative 2020 TB skin test.
